A Thicketts outdoor sauna is a hand-built garden sauna cabin: western red cedar or thermo-treated aspen inside, a proper heater, and benching set out around how many of you use it.
We design, build and install bespoke garden saunas across Dorset, from the insulated cabin and foil vapour barrier to the heater, benches and certified electrics, handed over ready to use.

Clear-grade cedar benching with rounded edges, a backrest, low-level LED lighting on a dimmer, a thermometer and sand-timer, and a proper glass door. It smells like a sauna the moment you open it.
Insulated properly, so it holds heat.
A cheap sauna leaks heat and costs a fortune to run. Ours get full insulation and a foil vapour barrier behind the cladding, so they reach temperature quickly and hold it, even in a Dorset February.

Timber that likes the heat
Western red cedar or thermo-treated aspen inside: stable, splinter-free and kind to bare skin. Cedar or charred-larch cladding outside to weather beautifully.
Warm on handover day
We commission it with you, run the first heat cycle, and show you how to season the stones and look after the timber. Then we leave you to it.
Wired, tested & signed off.
Our own certified electrician runs the supply, fits the heater and controls, and issues the certificate. Wood-fired builds get a twin-wall flue and heat shielding installed to spec.
